The Australian Script Centre

The Australian Script Centre collects, catalogues, promotes and distributes unpublished Australian plays and hosts a fabulous on-line store of Australian plays.

Just Us Theatre Ensemble (JUTE)

Established in 1992 Just Us Theatre Ensemble (JUTE) is an award–winning theatre company producing bold seasons of contemporary theatre from the evocative North.

JUTE’s annual Enter Stage Write (ESW) script development program was created in 2000 to develop new scripts for production and publication and to develop the writing skills of regional writers. The annual JUTE Playwrights’ Conference is a regional conference of national significance for the development and exposure of writers from regional Australia.

Playwriting Australia

Formed in 2007 to develop great new Australian writing for performance, PlayWriting Australia drives the development, advocacy and diversity of Australian drama and facilitates a national conversation about writing for performance. This organisation hosts the annual National Play Festival of new plays and an annual workshop of developing plays. They have a number of support opportunities for Australian playwrights. Playlab

Playlab is a service provider to the new work for live theatre performance sector and publisher of quality new performance texts in Queensland, Australia. For more than 30 years, Playlab has provided a range of services and programs designed to assist individual playwrights, other creative personnel, theatre companies and other organisations to develop new work for performance.

Playlab is a membership organisation and works with creators from all over Queensland to develop and promote new work for performance. Playlab regularly works with other companies and organisations, educational facilities and government to service and develop live performance and is a vital part of the theatre sector in Queensland

Traverse Theatre

The Traverse has an unrivalled reputation for producing contemporary theatre of the highest quality, invention and energy, commissioning and supporting writers from Scotland and around the world and facilitating numerous script development workshops, rehearsed readings and public writing workshops. The Traverse aims to produce several major new theatre productions plus a Scottish touring production each year. It is unique in Scotland in its exclusive dedication to new writing, providing the infrastructure, professional support and expertise to ensure the development of a sustainable and relevant theatre culture for Scotland and the UK.
